This is number 1 when it comes to steak. Expectations met 100%. Condition was good. But you don't get it for free.

The Caesar salad was underground and not worthy of its name. The croutons were huge blocks, only homemade garlic bread roasted on one side and definitely no croutons. As a salad dressing only in-house standard dressing (American dressing). Too little and carelessly arranged and (un) cut for an independent salad. The T-bone steak ordered with it was as ordered, medium but visibly smaller than the 500gr specified in the menu. The baked potato came misshapen and mashed on a separate plate, a lonely slice of cucumber, as well as a sufficient salad, also on a separate plate, complete "the main course". For an order totaling € 43.10 you can and should definitely expect better. Even the deputy restaurant manager was visibly embarrassed but apparently he doesn't have much to say, unfortunately. I cannot recommend this branch due to the poor quality of the workmanship. Edit: Thanks for the answer. To speak of "finely diced" or "crispy" (possibly the underside) of croutons for the bread (see photos) is ridiculous! Normal, roasted garlic bread was simply cut into cubes, even the original shape was still recognizable. Any trained chef knows how to make croutons, but your (and you) apparently don't. It is difficult to deliver quality consistently - work on it!

Very clean and well-kept restaurant. Food was delicious, but the portions were small compared to other steakhouses. But enough with a starter. But not enough for our teenagers. Staff very friendly and accommodating. In the Corona time absolutely brilliant solutions for sitting at the tables and while waiting. We'd love to come back anytime.

Good location, fair prices and delicious food. Only the fact that there is only one loaf of bread on the bottom of the burger has led to great confusion. Accordingly, 4 pieces of blockhouse bread were reordered for 3.2 € and so the burger that had gotten cold could still be eaten.

Was great atmosphere, delicious food. In the case of a corona crisis, everything was efficiently adhered to and well managed. Happy to go there again, all met as expected of a restaurant. Thumbs up !

Nice service, quick turnaround. Actually everything was very tasty. Except for the pan vegetables. Not seasoned and with too much oil. But the whining is probably at a high level.

Why the heck can't I make such perfect steaks at home?!? The baked potato is awesome! The bread is the stunner! Dealing with the pandemic is professional and as pleasant for the guests as possible. If I'm in HH again, this Block House is definitely back on my culinary agenda!

Great service from Ms. Birgit, delicious food (as always). However, the face mask for the staff and the guests is an impertinence. Without facial expressions / gestures, the cordiality unfortunately falls by the wayside. Suggestion: a visor for the staff

We were eating here on vacation. Those who like steak definitely get their money's worth, but the dessert was also very tasty. The only point of criticism that the steak with vegetables really contained very few vegetables. Corona regulations are meticulously adhered to and everything is generally very clean. Highly recommended.

If you’re into poor customer service, I-hate-my-job-atmosphere, meat in your parmesan cheese and sand in your salad, this is definitely the place to go! The meat is okay, but not at all worth the price and hassle of rude staff and bad hygiene. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Very juicy steaks. The salads were also good. They provide the menu in English and some other European language too which is handy for tourists. Very recomended to visit this restaurant!

Usual Block House quality for usual Block House prices. For those unfamiliar with the brand this means 25-35 Euro per person excl. wine for a very nice steak grilled to your liking which is good value for money in Hamburg. Other than that the specific establishment is super-busy, clean and cozy, with nice staff (mind you this is Germany) as centrally located as can get, easy to get to since its right outside the metro station.

Good meat in an informal setting. Not particularly imaginative menus ever grill classics are present. .Menu children to review.

Long waiting in line both down und again up the stairs, stressful before going in, we normally receive everything warm here and insist on visiting Block House in Jungfernstieg, but this time we got old bread and cold side dishes- pommes and a baked potato. Plus the brokolli side dish that goes with the Pfeffer Steak is a bitter disappointment. Basically only the steak was really tasty, good cuts.

Taste is perfect but maybe price is high for me :)

Great steak, good atmosphere, this is a very busy reasteraunt but if that is ok for you it's great food.

No choice of beer and no understanding of what bruschetta should look like.

Because of new year's day most restaurants were closed and we ended up here. That turned out to be a great experience. Ok there was a 15 minute wait before being seated because the place was packed! My rough estimate is that they can seat over 200 people. Food was delicious. Onion soup had a delicious layer of cheese on top and the ordered rib eye was medium to it's perfection. Service was excellent so a well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars.
